It was a long wait today, we arrived at 9:30 as usual and were sent straight to the day ward for Rich to settle himself on a bed (after his fainting episode he is no longer allowed to sit in the comfy chairs). Tracy, his assigned nurse, came and put the heat pack on his hand straight away and after a few minutes Dr Mike came and put his cannula in.
Then we waited, and waited and waited a bit longer.......I got a little bit peckish and wandered off to the...

Well today Grandad was diagnosed with bladder cancer. I knew he was going in for tests with my Mum but we had no idea he is 91 and an amazing man which is why we were so shocked. Feel kinda not with it a bit shell shocked really and the tears keep coming. Worried about his op in 2 weeks and about him not having any chemo etc Just hope he pulls through this .

I'm 39 and living with my partner in Scotland. My father died from a Brain Tumor in his early fifties, my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and is now continuing her remedial therapy after successful chemo treatment. My brother of 52, died on the 21st of Dec this year from a rare type of Lymphoma. I feel now is a time for myself to ensure my own wellbeing and do something positive for Cancer treatments and patients. I've set targets for the coming year with my partner for fundraising...

Anyway, I am feeling good right now and have a CT scan booked for 11th February followed by a meeting with my consultant on the 21st to discuss the results. I am experiencing quite a sense of freedom at the moment, because I have had to have weekly blood tests and chemo each week, for three weeks out of every four since last June and it...
