Although dry today it was a very grey and dark dawn today and it didn’t look promising at all. I didn’t have any plans for today, sat on the computer and sorted emails and messages out, a lot of work to catch up on. We decided to go to Wincheap to buy dog food and a toy for him so when we were ready off we went. The road were empty not a lot of traffic which is unusual so it was a pleasant trip. In Pets city we bought tins of dog food and treats and one of those toy balls where you put a treat...
and by that I mean my second attempt to get 5 mins to write before I hear little voices(and big voices) looking for 'Mammy, I need,,,' and 'Mammy I want....' But in saying that they are my reason for being so determined to do this 'cancer thing' with a smile on my face as much as possible and with a positive outlook - there is so much life waiting for me long after I will have waved cancer goodbye.
So basically, I'm 40yrs old and have 5 children, with 4 who range from 4yrs...
Well here goes my first ever blog post......at last. Its something I have been meaning to get round to doing. Even though life is very busy and hectic right now keeping a record of what life is like right now seems very important. Its not the year I had planned. My youngest started school in September and this was meant to be the year I returned to work among many other things. But fate intervened and a breast cancer diagnosis put a lot of things on hold.
I told you about the hearing aid down the Toilet . Today another disaster.
I was getting stuff out the back box on the van. As I walked round the back I walked into a really thick clingy Cobweb. I was pulling it out of my hair and off my face. It was like elastic. Out the corner of my eye I saw this big brown striped spider running along my shoulder. Panic.
So what did I do. I dropped every thing, struggled to rip off my jumper.
What else came off. Yep you’ve guessed it. my glasses flew...
Another wet day Just got back from walking louis soaked again.
Just got a call from that spoof scam. who say they are from microsoft help team and want to enter my computer remotely. I said Ok I will have to go into the other room and turn it on then I put the phone down. They rang again Mavis picked it up and he said they are trying to help me. She said no you are not we are tracing this call because it’s a scam he denied it but she hung up on him.

I'm sure this is a universal experience, but people's reactions to hearing of my illness have been highly varied, some predictable, and some surprising (though not always in a good way).
I'm an atheist, but a number of people I know to be religious are praying for me: in the conventional Christian way; by being "held in the light" - a very nice concept - by a Quaker; and by being sent remote reiki by a New Age lady. I don't mind that; while I don't share their beliefs, it's completely well...
Well I set off with my overnight bag well my friends overnight bag to the local hospital.Now the letter said don't eat or drink anything from midnight and you must be on time.I am always either early or on time it would be a rare thing for me to be late.The strange thing is everyone and I do mean everyone of my friends is always last minuete or late it drives me up the wall.Well I arrived at 7.50am and i was put into a day room to wait.The anaesetist then saw me then the consultant to explain what...
Back at work after my tests and confirmation of Hodgkins.
They are all being very suppotive at work and we are working together to try and work out my shifts around the Chemo.
The 15th seems a long way off but Im sure it will rush towards me.......
