09/09/2013 - The Girl in the Bubble

    I don't feel right today.

I feel down and angry and upset. I'm finding it really hard to communicate with people today. I'm finding it near impossible to be nice and friendly and I feel like such a bitch but I can't stop it.

My mum has yet another chat with the hospital today about her chemo trial. I sent her a message saying good luck. My sister said she's been eating alot better recently too though so that's good.

I FINALLY get my bike on Wednesday so I can finally start...

    Life sucks at times!!!!!!!!!!!
Have you ever woke up in the morning and thought "Why me?"
I do it every single day cos for 40 yrs my life has been total and utter crap.
From being sexually abused for 20yrs from the age of four to violent relationships.
Having Fibromyalgia for 28yrs,M.E for 3yrs and now living with breast cancer and going through all the treatment that goes with it.
One day somebody might cut me a bit of slack and say " OK Sian, ya been through enough now,how about we let you rest and live a normal life...

    6 months, 182days, 4368 minutes...of missing you
Six months today since Doug left ....have been through a lot since that day. Went on holiday but in the end my daughter couldnt face staying so she is home now, my younger one is off to uni two weeks today and I find that no matter what life moves on! Still having counselling, still on anti depressants, still struggling along every day. I feel alone and scared most of the time, last night I had a horrid dream and woke up panic stricken only to remember there are no big, warm, safe arms to cuddle...

    Why can't I spell

Usualy I am so good at spelling but these past few days my fingers whether texting or typing don't seem to be hitting the right keys.

Even when I read it y mind is usually wandering somewhere else and I don't see it until it has been posted.

I'm hoping that by doing this my mind will be occupied as I have been unable to sleep since waking at 1am.

My right arm hurts not sure if this is beacause of the cancer or my arm is coming out in sympathy.

This is the first time I have written...

    06/09/2013 - Specialist Counselling?

I think I need to see a counsellor.

The reason being is that since my mum's diagnosis, I have been having thoughts that I have been keeping to myself and I'm having trouble keeping a lid on them now.

I don't know who to speak to about how I feel because noone ever knows what to say in response and I feel bad for making them feel bad. I need to speak to someone who doesn't know me or my situation and can just sit and let me say what I need to say.

I keep having nightmares and scary...

    06/09/2013 - A Quick Update

I'm back at work after a couple of days off and it was nice to have a couple of days to myself. Still not sure how I feel about being alone. Some days I'm fine, some days I'm a mess.

We're currently waiting for my mum to have her next CT scan. They ideally wanted her to be on her chemo by now, or at least thinking about starting it but she's so weak and tired that they aren't going to do it yet. They've put her on steroids to try and help her eat, as she's only having one milkshake every...

    Sad story: Death at Home

This one is not about me, I've put an update on my status. It's about an old friend I met by chance this morning.  I knew his wife was ill, housebound and unable to get about at all. I asked him how she was. "She is at peace now" he said.

His wife, for whom he had cared for seven years, died a little over 2 weeks ago. She had been in a lot of pain and had made it clear she had had enough.  Her carers had been superb, he said, no complaints there. But she had hoped to be at rest and...

  • A Brand New Me
    Classical Music With Lyrics.

I often purchase a record because it’s being sold cheaply and I know that it is potentially valuable.  I rarely do this with CDs as I don’t know the subject very well. However one bargain caught my eye the other day.  I bought it for £1.50 including postage.  Condition was described as good as new and I knew I could resell it for at least £40.  It’s recently arrived, but unfortunately the condition is not good, which means I’d be lucky to make £5 profit. So another acquisition...

    a few thoughts

Since 2009 I have been through a lot and, whilst I have coped extremely well with it all, I am finding it is getting harder!

I thought it might help to jot down some of my thoughts...............

My first encounter with the demon Cancer was in 2009 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer.  A lumpectomy, sentinel node biopsy and 5 weeks of radiotherapy followed.  I worked every day of my radiotherapy, determined to keep some normality and was upbeat and positive every step of the way.  Tamoxifen started...
