Why can't I spell

Less than one minute read time.

Usualy I am so good at spelling but these past few days my fingers whether texting or typing don't seem to be hitting the right keys.

Even when I read it y mind is usually wandering somewhere else and I don't see it until it has been posted.

I'm hoping that by doing this my mind will be occupied as I have been unable to sleep since waking at 1am.

My right arm hurts not sure if this is beacause of the cancer or my arm is coming out in sympathy.

This is the first time I have written anything like this but I know my way of coping is to retreat into my shell but I have promised myself I won't do that this time so many people have offered support well the few who do know mostly family.

I am not going to write anymore until I see how this looks or where it will be posted

Vitual (((( Hugs ))))

Hello Graceland.   I am sorry that you have found yourself here with your diagnosis of breast cancer and I understand how you are feeling just now ... seems like our world collapses around us when we are told that it's cancer. However, you have come to the right place for support and I would recommend that you join the Breast Cancer group here ... you will find some lovely ladies who can offer help and advice as they will know what you are going through, I'll add the clickable link for you.

    Take care and hugs.

    graceland06,

Do not worry about typing errors. The trouble is to do with predictive spelling, if you have it, the rules regarding the same come into play as well. I reckon I use 4 different keyboards almost daily from my iPhone to my work computer and 2-3 more from time to time. Each has its own quirks and if you are not slim fingered and/or not a touch typist then you also have problems.

Don't worry about spelling. Most of us make mistakes for various reasons. Tiredness will come into play, but also we are trying to keep a though in our head as we are typing and hope to goodness we don't forget before we get to the end of the sentence what it was we  had thought of as our next paragraph, especially when the sentence currently worked upon, such as this, has many dependant clauses and grammatical tricks at play, and if you think it was easy to come up with this sentence off the top of my head you must be … where was I?

Don't retreat into your shell, or to use a less glorious expression as I did with Laing, don't bury your head in the sand with your bum in the air, as it doesn't show you off to your advantage.

I dealt with Laing's lung cancer on a day by day basis with him, lurking on Macmillan most of the time, plus he disapproved of me being here. Since he died, Macmillan has been my daily antidote and the best medicine I have found, and apart from needing a computer, and a broadband connection, it's not that expensive thereafter.

Macmillan is a glorious place to share experiences and knowledge. I would like to think I have come across people here who are friends to some degree or another, and though we may be ships passing in the night, even our wake causes a few ripples hither and yon.

Joycee is right to suggest you join the breast cancer group. I bet they are just as brilliant as the lung cancer guys have been for me. You are among friends you never knew you had here in Macmillan and peer support is the best.

    Tim
