4/33, Monday 31 March, and a new week. Coughing less but London pollution and the Sahara desert sands are making me cough, especially with my asthma. A scan was included today. Whilst waiting for the water to filter through to my bladder (4 cups, my decision), one of the team tool me aside for chat. Hi I start chemotherapy soon and have had one cycle of IVF treatment which was not successful. My oncologist recommended I have one more cycle of IVF before the chemo to give it another chance. However the fertility dept has said I will need to pay £5000+ for this as only one cycle is funded on the NHS. Does anyone have any advice please?
Yesterday was my first mother's day without my Mam. I went to the crem to take some flowers and cried all the way home. It was hard but I survived.
Tommorow is one year since she passed away. Again I will be going to the crem with more flowers. In 25 days I will be back there again. This time to take flowers for my Dad who also passed away one year ago.
The past few days have been up and down. Getting on with things and finding myself crying and not knowing what it was that started me off.
...I have to say that I'm discouraged at how slowly I'm recovering from the chest infection of a couple of weeks ago. My breathing is more or less OK now, and my cough has more or less gone, but I'm left with no energy at all and an urgent need to sleep and sleep. It was such a beautiful morning however, that I was determined to get out for a walk and enjoy the burgeoning spring and the warm sunshine. So we set off for a walk around the local lanes. My pace is so slow at present, not like the normal...
sorry its been so long but things hadn't improved with the water infectons. finally had T.u.r.p.s on March 4th the 5 day stay in hospital was eventful to say the least, i thought I was doing well but on the 3rd day the cathetor started leaking and I drowned the bed 3 times in about 6 hours, Embarrassing ?.so they finally decided to take it out, What a relief. Then my stomach took a massive dislike to one of the tablets they gave me (amlopodine I think) and I was violently sick kept thinking ...
