Hi
First time doing this so hopefully this is right. My mum had breast cancer 23 years ago and now it has infiltrated her ducts and also in her bones and lung but xray showed she now has lesion in her bowel! she lives in spain with my dad and although the treatment is great her support is 0%, I go out as much as possible, she does want to come home. The spanish theory is to try everything until the end and they dont talk about life timing limits. So what is best, for her to be here with better support...
Diagnosis breast cancer - via a mammogram still cant get my head around it after my surgery and awaiting radiotherapy. It seems as if it has all been a very weird dream. People are the things I find hardest to deal with - some peoples reaction is horrendous - one of my friends screamed down the phone "oh my God I cant cope" - and family, my mother in law when I commented on how I was upset as I had recently lost a lot of weight and got quite fit down the gym said "well if you had been fat they might...

It can be swallowed, injected, rubbed in,or in my case fed directly into the body by way of a Central Line or PICC. Luckily there have been massive improvements in this since my father died from cancer some 25 years ago, even thought Chemo has beed around longer, in those day...
I went to my local breast clinic with a lump in my breast about 6 weeks ago. Since then I have has 2 biopsies, then diagnosis, then sentinel lymph node removal (which fortunately was clear), then 2 days later was in hospital and had mastectomy and reconstruction. I am now at home (had dressings removed yesterday) and feel like it has all happened to someone else! Just can not get my head round the fact that all this has happened in such a short time, and that it is because I have cancer! Anyone else...
