I 'm on the high dose of dex and has done my pain levels a shed load of good, I am enjoying sitting comfy and feeling awake. I feel like I could walk for miles until I stand up, that is. The first two doses work well for me and the next ones will keep me on the road for a number of side effects.
Where it is very unhelpful is the going out and being around people, busy situations and trying to get through various points of the hopefully routine appointment. It is very speedy, sometimes I feel quite altered. I can also take onboard a lot but not really be able to process quickly. It ramps up feelings of stress and anxiety
Getting the Chemo done is my key thing, I have been sent home before at this point so never take that it going to happen for granted The next is the waiting room It's crowded, lots of coming and goings, it's loud and with a loud TV and I can't get in and out independently and chairs have to moved. I just want to quietly and discretely get in. It is awful.
Jeff and I have developed some lurking tactics and coping strategies but a long wait in the waiting room is highly stressful and not good for my blood pressure which is a key metric that has be good for me.
That's for later for now I can enjoy the upsides.
