Well im cross (again ) !!!

We all went to my mums today for a family bbq ,which dont get me wrong was lovely ,missed ju alot as first time ive been their since ,i have been avoiding it if im honest but i did it !

well anyway my brother walked in and first thing i noticed was his sunburn ,its the worst case of sunburn ive ever seen !! so i zipped it ,and said hello and spent some time with my gorgeous neices , until i could speak to my brothers girlfriend , well it turned out she came to find me and said sorry ,the stupid idiot refused to put cream on as wanted to burn !!! i was so upset i could have cried ,does it mean nothing to him that im a widow at 34 because of bloody skin cancer , does he want his little girls growing up with no dad !! and did i say something no as i would have cried and couldnt in front of my neices they only 1 and 3 , but i couldnt even look him in the eye , i have been struggling with him since ju died as i need him but he struggles to deal with it which i understand ,it hurts but i have to deal it ,

but this really cut like a knife :(

but once again i will deal with it and put the brave face on and pretend its all ok as thats what everyone expects , just as well i can be honest on here isnt it !

It seems the message just doesn't through to some people about the dangers of skin cancer. My daughter is red headed and refuses to wear sun cream hoping it will get her a tan. I have told her repeatedly that she will NOT tan, but it just doesn't sink in then she moans when she's burnt and it's painful.

You seem to be having to put with an awful lot. I can only hope things will get better for you soon.

Hi Jenni,

If Your Brother hasnt learned his lesson from watching Ju die in pain, and what you and your family have gone through. He,s either very stupid or he dosent care. Sorry Love but if it was my brother He would have got a good slap from me.To do something as crazy as that after what happened to Ju.He needs a good kick up the Arse.

Hi Jenni - not sure I can say anything that will help - to say he was very insensite is the biggest understatement every.

Everyone thinks that Cancer is something that can only happen to others,When the causes of some cancers have been so clearly identified - it is hard to understand why people take the risk.

Maybe his girlfriend will kick his backside and knock some sense into him !! In time your message will get through to him

At least you got to spend some time with your neices.

aww jenni - sorry to hear that your brothers actions upset you = quite understandable

but

what are fellas like eh? big toughies dont need suncream !!!!! im sure he probably felt bad when he saw you .......... and .....its like the peeps that smoke

they all know someone with or had lung cancer ....but it doesnt stop them smoking eh?

Hi Jennie,

I am sorry for your pain. My son still smokes yet he saw his Dad and grandmother die of Lung cancer through smoking.

I totally understand your feelings.
