    How it Started !!!

    Found a lump on the 20th March 2011.

    Visited the Doctors on the 21st March, letter for the Apmt @ Hospital for 1st April (No Joke !!)

    Moved to the 26th Went for scan ..ect, Biopsy result Wednesday 30th April.

    Confirmed the worst.............................................................

    Waiting for the call on Monday.

    I would like to thank all the staff at the Hospital @ North Manchester for the care and attention and Help they have given me so far. xx

    what a year !!!

    well where do I start, mum has another scan today. I am worried how my step dad is going to get her into the hospital so early, by the time she has her wash she is exhausted. He has just had hip replacement so dont want to put to much on him.. Was going to go down and help him take her but sods law I had diarrohea yesterday so best stay away...

    hi al. l i returned home this morning from mexico. had my birthday there too. it was fab!! great to have all the kids around me. as i did feel very alone inside. sad at times. but steve was with me in spirit. this is a journey i have to take without him. seems like it's gonna be a long one. but as the kids keep telling me. mum your strong and well loved we will help each others along the way

    wigs and bandanas

    well i had my chemo yesterday and the nurse told me under no circumstances would i not lose my hair so this evening we have been ordering bandanas for the whole family to keep me company i love my children .my husband found one he has had for years and produced it today i love him too well the wigs i need to go shopping for so that not as easy but maybe can do some other shopping at the same time

    4th chemo over !!!!

    hi everyone

     well 4th chemo done and im home again was so dreading it after being given a two week break and to be honest if i could have run miles away this morning i probably would have but i didnt because i know that it has to be done so off i went........... felt like a good cry as i sat getting the cannular in because i so didnt want to go through the side effects again after feeling 99% like me for a few weeks (was so lovely apart from a few niggly pains)

    anyway im sitting here on my laptop...

    4 weeks on.....
    Tomorrow will be the 4 week anniversary of my dad passing away. I don’t even know if the word anniversary is appropriate because to me, that’s a word for happy celebrations. The past 4 weeks have been the worst of my life and at 17 years old, I’ve never experienced anything like this.  Of course a lot of people don’t experience the death of loved ones until they’re a lot older – lucky them. But after holding my dad’s hand as he passed away in front of us, finding out he had to have...

    Hi Everyone,

    Sorry i have not been on here for sometime but  im trying to come to terms with everything that has been thrown my way this past 12 mths. I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis and now have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

    I finished my chemo back in sept 2010 no major side effects, i did find that my shins hurt the most and they put it down to the chemo, but now we know its due to the osteoporosis.   All my surgery was completed in january of this year, or so i thought my consultant...

    Our journey Living with kidney cancer

    My brother was diagnosed with rcc last april,2010 after invesigations into heamaturia and heavy feeling legs! No other symptoms were present.

     During investigations into bladder infection! (i wish) and a CT scan it was discvered he had a 10cm tumor on his right kidney with vena cava involvement, he was fast tracked to the christie and to withington hospital with a wiew to urgent surgery (Nephrectomy) However this was deemed not safe at present so the docs did a pocedure called Embolisation to stop...

    I havent been on this sight for a while, to be honest it isnt the easiest sight to find my way around [ for me anyway ]

    Life just goes on and i am still missing my jim more than ever, it gets to the stage when the fight goes out of you and just accept that life[ WILL NEVER BE THE SAME]
