hi everyone
ive finished my chemo about 4 weeks ago now but since a week past wednesday woke up and the tips of my fingers have been really tingling numbness and really sore i was on oxyplatin but after my scan following the last chemo they found small lesions on my liver had gone and larger ones had got decidedly smaller i am so pleased but now this thing in my fingers is so uncomfortable i just wondered if anyone can tell me whats going on is this normal or not???

Well we are now back in england... in a very very old mobile home. It was sooooo bad the toilet was falling through the bathroom floor, the radiators leaked every where and the boiler didnt work (nor the shower) lol. Anyway thats now fixed and life can continue. I've got my first appointment with the local onc team next monday, thats if they have translated all my medical notes by then! luckily france gave me all my scan discs etc so at least they've got pictures. We went away in our touring caravan on Thursday to Seasalter on the south-east coast. Our son arranged it as his youngest daughter Pearl was celebrating her second birthday on the Saturday, in all about 20 family members from both sides came.

Have been home just over a week after my mastectomy and reconstruction surgery, the first few days i felt great i imagine it was because i was back in my own surroundings and i was relieved the surgery was over. got back from my singing tour very early on thursday morning at 5 in the morning!! and have been on the go non-stop ever since, hence not writing a post for a while!!! I went to switzerland in monetreux for the jazz festival where I performed twice with my choir!! It was sooo good being able to perform in front of such a large crowd at a major international festival!! I saw aloe blacc in concert as well as raphael saadiq and BB King, AMAZING. Survived the surgery quite well, made a good recovery and went back to work after two weeks, might not have been the best idea I ever had. I still feel tired and at least not so confused, after receiving histology results, no surprise there, I phoned my consultant who was extremely helpful and explained all the questions that I had running through my head. Just received my first appointment (one of many) to recheck my bladder, obviously not loooking forward to going into day surgery but needs must...
Has any one got a parastomal hernia. I have one after radical cyctestomy and it is causing back ache and discomfort when I walk. I just wondered if anyone has one how are they coping with it. Any tips wou;ld be great. Thanks in advance.

been having problems with my mum atm.. my boyfriend has been battling bowel cancer for a year, and im depressed.. he's about to have his last operation on his lung to remove some mets.. then hopefully nothing more.. just regular check ups (he had bowel cancer).. he is just recovering from a liver operation...

I have to tell you that Alex is fighting his last fight with prostate cancer in St Barnabas Hospice Lincoln. His wife Pat is by his side and his children will arrive today. Alex is on the 'pathway' even though he was not expected to survive the night I know that my dear friend Alex will not leave us without giving it his very best.
