    Day 32
I am managing to work slightly longer hours this week, I feel an overwhelming tiredness around 11am but find a strong cup of coffee helps with this. I find life is following a sort of pattern looking a bit too normal for my liking and I'm terrified of just feeling like I am only just coping all the time. I like to talk about my husband, he was only my husband for 23 days but we were together for years never really factoring in the time to get married, we both much preferred the holiday honeymoon...

    The enemy within
End of week one and I feel fine. A little bit tired at times but not much at all. I am now heading to the bottom of the monthly run which will take my immune system to zero and back up, I'm told around Friday will be the lowest point. Saturday is my 53 birthday which will be spent at home making sure I pick up no nasties and eating well cooked piping hot non spicy food. The joy indeed.

The big issue at home is Gail, she has come down with quite a bad flu, in all the time we have been together...

  • After he has gone.......
    Day 31
Today I cannot believe how I have got to day 31, feels like yesterday albeit in a slightly altered way. I miss the coming home to a cup of tea ready for me and someone who wants to hear all about my day not just listening because they feel like they have to. I hate waking up alone without Doug there to put his arms round me and say good morning....I dislike explaining why I look flipping miserable most of the time but most of all I just miss him badly. I know I'm not the only one in this situation...

    Back to normal
    Afternoon folks

Just returned from the docs for bloods. My WBC is now 6.3 so now classed in the normal range, the doc agreed this is a good start and now it's the task of getting the nasty CLL cells out of the bone marrow.

It was a good visit overall and I had a good chat with the doc about the future and the possibilities dependant on the outcome of this round of chemo and when it comes then next round. I have to say although I am a very positive person the discussion did give me more...

  • Stopping Treatment
    should i stop my treatment?

I've gone back to work full time 37.5 hours a week and i can barely keep my eyes open when i get home. I even go to the gym and my stamina just wont improve at all. My doctor tells me it will be like this until i finish all my treatment but i want to have my stamina back now not in a year. I enjoy my life at the moment. Work is great and would be incredible if i wasn't so tired. I go to the gym when i feel like i have some energy, force myself if i have to, i play roller derby twice a week and nothing...

    Day 30
Thank goodness the weekend is over, I find them difficult. Had to drag myself to get my hair cut on Saturday as it was long overdue. I am trying to find new things to do but that is hard work also, today I am going to visit colleagues at one of my two jobs to see if a return is likely next week. My other job I have been going in for a couple of hours a few days last week to see how that feels, I am lucky I can do this as I have been off for 7 weeks now. Not looking forward to it but here goes.....

    Waiting for Knowhow

Weird isn't it how you can be so ill and still life goes on I am waiting for my new fridge and freezer to be delivered, normally I would be given the late slot and would be upset that I had to wait around, now that I have a stinking cold and my partner is in bed with the flu I have been given the 7 to 11 slot so I had to get up dead early this morning.  I know they will probably come nearer 11 than 7 but can't take the risk, partner is absolutely laid up or she would  be doing it and I had...

    The bad with the good
    Morning folks

Well as the previous post said until Thursday evening I felt fine, a bit weak but generally ok.

Throughout the Thursday night I woke up a few times feeling nauseous but managed not to actually be sick, until the morning. At 6:30 I couldn't hold it anymore and was quite sick. I took the anti sickness pill and actually felt a bit worse, at 11:00 I took the daily medication I have bed given with a glass of water and it was like a comedy sketch from little Britain the sickness...
