    A run in with Anaesthetist.
This is my 2nd go at writhing a blog. I did try before Christmas, but I clicked on a wrong button and lost the WHOLE BLOG. I was not very happy. Anyway I am going to try again. I finished my last one when Stephen was in Hospital. When we arrived at our local hospital, we got Stephen to get changed and said that the Doc wanted to see him. I had not told him that he was going to have an operation as I thought it might cause him too much stress and it was quit possible that he would refuse to have...

    Tired or just bone idle
They told me that one of the side affects of Radium would be lethergy, so ok the odd day on the sofa I thought, but its been weeks now, and unless I have something specific to do or some where specific to go, such as out for lunch on xmas day, I find my self lounging about all day, with just the mundane tasks of making the tea in time for my hubby getting home from work feeling like too much bother.Ok there are day's when I really am just too tired to do anything, but I'm slowly coming to the realization...

Where does life go from here?
Hi hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and will have a great new year... On December 22 I went to the drs for a mass around my heart that the drs had found.. Thinking it was something wrong with my heart I was in total shock when the informed me that they are 95% sure its thymoma cancer and that the mass stretches from the base of my throat to underneath my right lung so its of quite extensive size.. I had a bunch of bunch of bloodwork done on tuesday and go see a thoracic surgeon on Jan 2 for...

My dad passed away yesterday and I'm devastated. Although he was a good age 81 he was a wonderful dad and we are all goingto miss him. I found this past week extremely hard as he deteriated quickly and was clearly distressed and very very ill. Think nursing staff were also surprised by how quickly things happened. Very upset that I wasnt with him at the end.

    chest drain
My Mother-in-law ended back in hospital yesterday, she didn't feel well and felt the fluid was building up again. She had a chest xray when she arrived but unfortunally as it's the week-end no doc available to do the drain. My father-in-law was very angry about this but I tried explaining that the hospital's prioty were critical patients and that she would be done as soon as there was a doctor free. They have said now the chest drain will be done on Monday so my mother-in-law was allowed home on...

    New Boob for Christmas!
Hi, I'm new to this site. I am 12 days post-op now following a mastectomy and immediate DIEP flap reconstruction. Still feeling a bit sore, tummy very tight, still a bit of leakage from the drain sites and new boob looking and feeling hard and bruised and not matching the other side at all yet (however I can see potential). Wearing control pants Bridget Jones style and shock absorber sports bra with anti embolism stockings - Drs orders for the next 6 weeks. Most uncomfortable especially in bed...

    New Gal
Hi, I have never been on any sort of site before but think this one will be a very good idea, especially for someone like me who knows nothing about nothing including blogs! Trying to take in what has been diagnosed, a secondary in the liver but no sign of the primary yet, the search starts next Tuesday. I doubt that I feel too different to any of you after the first week or so, just stacks of questions. As I have no idea where to start can anyone give me a prod in any direction please. Poppy Girl...
