1996 mole removed upper right arm then resectioned
1999 found a lump under arm pit while scatching, a week later removal of lymth nodes 17 removed one positive.
then I did the interpheron treatments 5 weeks intensive IV treatment then 11 months self injections.
I had alot of side effects when under theropy.
Has any one gone through this?
what are the long term side effects?
I am seeing my oncoligist 01/13/08 to discuss.
I have alot of muscle cramps and pain, arms, legs, back, ect.
Still suffer from depression, loss of memory (short Term)

I found a lump under my left arm back in May 08, It came up over night, and I went straight to my GP.
She then requested the usual tests and scans, and in By July I had been diagnosed with MM, I had no primary locations and was straight in at stage 3.
I had lymphnodes removed in August 2 infected out of 16 and started a 4 week course of interferon (intron a) at the end of September. This was a rough 4 weeks as you have also described, and Weeks after I came off the drug I waa still bad,aching headaches etc. The side effects have seemed to gone away, but I still get my days.
I only done 4 weeks intensive of the interferon. They had discovered about a year ago that the first 4 week dose was just as good as being on the year long course. So I was lucky there as I don't think I could have coped.
I wish they new about the four weeks in 99, that was a long year.
drink a lot of water while before,during,or after treatments helps with the headaches.
I am shocked that they never found a leasion or origin,
Have you had your eyes checked, sometimes that is the origin, my mother in law went in for regular eye check up and dr. found mm she had eye removed next day. Dr. said that the eye was the worst spot, hard to detect, and can spread anywhere as eyes are connected to all body orgins.

Now that I am clean for going into my 9 year my chances of reoccurance is aboutv 90% against getting it back. So I am glad I did the treatments.
