    worse today...
my dad is very ill today. i only saw him on wednesday and he wasnt too bad and looked ok. i was shocked at how bad he looked today, i was so upset to see him like that and finding it so hard now to hold it together and not go to pieces. im trying to stay strong for my dad and also my mum n my brother. we had the doctor come out to him today and he said he has thrush in his mouth. he cant eat and seems dehydrated. im hoping they keep him in hospital when he goes for his radio therapy tomorrow.

    Talking
Mum visiting Cardiff for couple of days. She looks well but admits she is have a breast removed as well as nodes and wanted to tell me face to face. I see the fear in her eyes but she and I believe that if it prolongs life, it is something you can live with. I have said I am there for her as much as I can be and will visit the weekend after her surgery for a few days to help as I can. the only thing is that the cancer cell check in nodes - results two weeks after mastectomy so again the waiting game...

    A technical question
Why can't I get into the chat rooms? I've followed all the instructions on Java support, and downloaded latest version. It's still telling me my browser is not Java enabled!

    I'm a snivelling self-pitying creature!
Aaaaaargghh! Just been reading some old blogs/posts etc, as my husband was watching golf - and read back the blog I left earlier. Was disgusted with myself, sounded sooo ungrateful/awful, there are lots of people worse off than me. I'm ok at the moment - tumours shrunk, feeling fine - and my son's results were good. But still I'm moaning. Note to self - I'm really really going to try to be more of a positive person, less of a doom-monger. And I'm going to start by being really adventurous and going...

    Pre Chemo Cycle 2
... a visit to the Oncologist. We were also told that full bloods & liver function tests were required before Monday's 2nd chemo cycle so we did the blood clinic on Thurs too. It was quite funny because Oncology Ward had told us to ignore any queues and ticket numbering at the Blood Clinic and go straight to the desk (they don't want you spending any time anywhere near 'sick' folk.) We went into the blood clinic and there had to be about 20 others waiting very patiently - all holding their ticket...

From as low as a snake's belly to high and happy
Jesus - My moods are all over the place. Being thoroughly menopausal doesn't help. As some of you know, my son (aged 24) had massive op a couple of weeks ago to remove 11cm tumour from his abdomen. The op was a success - he didn't lose his kidney, spleen, or any part of his bowel (which it shared blood vessels with). He is recovering brilliantly, planning on going back to work latter part of next week, - and the best? news of all - the tumour is benign!! I put a question mark there, because it doesn...
