    A better day
Well I must say I feel alot better today and less tired. I think I have lightened the load a little!! Did some training at work which I really enjoyed so it was a much more layed back day, not rushing around the salon like a blue a@*#d fly!! I have had my best friend around for coffee and ordered a costume for a fancy dress party I am going to Saturday. I wasnt going to go because I was feeling low and didnt fancy it but am going to go because it will be a laugh. Its 80's so will try and put on...

    Today is the day.
Well, I have an appointment today at 2pm to find out my fate. Well done NHS - the urgent referral from my doctor was only sent last Tuesday and I already have the appointment. The two week rule is working I guess. So, I have had my scan and had my blood test, I am hoping today I will find out if I really do have cancer and if so what will happen next. Of course I have been reading up on the matter here on the site and I have a pretty good idea of what to expect but I still feel sick all the same...

    Just sad
This is my first blog so it probably wont be very good/interesting as my thoughts never materialise well onto ''paper'' but always sound good in my head. Like I said in the title I am just sad today. I keep thinking about what is happening to me and why and then thinking about my children and worrying about them and its all just alot to think about! My daughter who is 5 reminded me that I said she could have my wedding dress when she gets married. (Its a beautiful dress and she loves it, but shes...

    Day 1 of Cycle 2
We arrived at the Oncology ward by 9:20am - too early as usual and were allocated a nice room looking out towards the surrounding countryside. Within half hour hubby was sitting comfortably in the big armchair, pillow under his arm and hooked up to the first of many intravenous bags. Day 1 is always a long one - 16 continual hours of various concoctions (including the chemo). Drip drip drip - it's like watching paint dry! It is boring but in a pleasant way - I imagine every little drip being a big...

    intensity
O my God it is so bloody intense. I am worried about her - she is looking a bit green around the gills today and has has a couple of nasty bouts of nausea. She is worried about me - sometimes I actually look more ill than she does - tired and pinched. I had a really hard weekend at work and just feel desperately upset most of the time. We have just come to the end of a fortnight of visits from relatives from whom we don't usually have visits. Sometimes I feel as if the whole show is just held together...
