    It's been awhile
I have not blogged for awhile but I have been peeking at and reading blogs and posts daily. Some make me smile, laugh, cry. All the things I feel you all feel. There is a kind of sorority-belonging feeling about that...a soritity that none of us want to belong to but are so happy we do. I like the ordinary lives of some of the blogs in the face of extra-ordinary events in their lives. It amazes me how we go on. We haven't many choices but choose with conviction and, find our own strengths...

It was great news and ta for your responses
Yes it was great news! Even better having all of you out there to share it with. For people like me who live alone this community is a real blessing. You have all been great support. However before I get too carried away with the resuls. It was confirmed that I have a Lymphoma, that I would need treatment at some stage, but not now and perhaps not for a long time. Seems at present that the immune system is coping on its own for now. Just pray that it continues. It is back to watch and wait with frequent...

a quiet day and an eventful night (yeah right, in your dreams)
Spent the day on the internet and sitting in the garden in the 'spaced-out' way you get when you haven't slept. Not disturbing at all - your senses are kind of heightened aren't they? Sat outside for a little while to get my vitamin D fix. Then debated with myself whether to go to bed for a while or wait til bedtime and hopeully sleep better tonight. In the end, I went to bed for a while but couldn't sleep so sat up watching a few episodes of House which always cheers me up (!). Youngest DS came...

Mom, why did you have to leave?
My dear mother passed away yesterday 19th August at the age of 42... Only 20 days after we got her diagnosis.. This all happened so fast.. I have no idea how i will ever survive. I miss her so much already... There is no words to tell how much she meant to me and how close she was to me. I feel like i didnt have time to tell her all i wanted, tho i told her a lot. But i guess its normal to feel that there would have still being so much to say..? Eventho shes gone forever now, im trying to...

not being able to drive is driving me insane!!!
I think I have coped well so far with 2 lots of chemo, radiotherapy, mastectomy, weight gain, loss of hair twice, loss of job, but after being diagnosed with brain mets and unable to drive, well thats a different thing! Its the loss of independance that has got to me. Cancer affects our lives so much that we are forced to change our lifestyle, but this is the last straw! Only yesterday I walked to the supermarket and ended up not being able to carry the bags home! The amount of times I've wanted to...
