Been to see our GP today
Martin had his stitches out on Monday & went back to see the nurse this morning for a check up & she said it was looking good. We went to see our GP this afternoon to update him. He was very sorry that it has now been diagnosed as inoperable, he has been with us through this journey. Our daughters have grown up together as we live in the same village, but because he is our doctor we have always kept a respectable distance. He told us he hasn't rec'd all the info from the hospital as yet, but he...

    Got my results
Got my results today, better news than I had expected, but before I get into that: Thanks to all who gave me all that moral support before hand!!!!!!!!! Result: CT scan detected no problems detected in my vital organs. IgM levels have stabilised and over the last few tests have started on a downward trend, well within the bandwidth to be considered to be in “natural control” and not yet needing treatment. It is however almost inevitable that treatment will be needed in the future but could be...

Hi all, that was a speedy repair wasn't it? Bless his cotton socks. Was all geared up for my appointment tomorrow and have just recieved a phone call saying my consultant can't see me now until next Thursday!! Breast care nurse said "is that ok" couldn't really say "OF COURSE NOT I WANT TO SEE HIM NOW!!!!!!" So politely replied, it will have to be won't it, oooer, not her fault I know, but left it a bit late to tell me. Said he feels he would have more time for me next week. MRI results still...

    Womb cancer. Hip pain
I had a full hysterectomy 7 weeks ago. Te surgeon said he had taken all the cancer away and also done swabs which showed nothing cancerous. I was due to start chemo 3 weeks ago but unfortunately - or fortunately!- I had an allergic reaction to Taxol. Have others had similar reactions? The oncologist made the decision to go straight to radio therapy. I am having a few pains. Are these normal? Mainly in the bowel. A sort of windy pain.Is this to be expected? I also have a painful leg- but I do have...

Lack of support for second time rounder's
Treatment went ok on Monday apart from sitting there all day bored out of my skull it went without a hitch. I have probably said before Herceptin is a breeze, you dont even know you have had treatment really. The one thing I did notice and it annoyed me a bit is despite the fact I was at the unit every 3 weeks(at least)for almost 2 years none of the nurses who know me very well bothered to speak to me!! They put the canula in and started the drip, left me sitting there for 6 hours took the canula...
