    Cervical Cancer
    My daughter discovered she had cervical cancer three years ago while she was pregnant with her second child. Nothing was done until her baby was born then an attempted was made to remove the tumour, however that failed when she 'bled out' and needed 5 pints of blood.     34 year old diagnosed with Vulva Cancer, easy to put it down on paper not so easy to tell people When i mention i have cancer people ask where? my answer ..... down below they automatically think cervical cancer most of the time i dont correct them just embarrassed.

    Feeling a little bloated!!
    Not feeling too bad today apart from soreness in what appears to be a new adolescent breast growing at my op site. Kept putting off ringing nurses as don't want to waste their time, but think now i have a lovely pocket of fluid build up in my wound site this is the time to do it. Have to go in this afternoon and have it drained, trust me, nothing can ever be straightforward, I am such an attention seker. lol. I am bored to tears as cannot drive at the moment and my sisters have now flown home....

    Its upon us already!
    Oh well, its that time already!! Where has the summer gone? I cant tell you how nervous i have been for the past week, so i cant even imagine how my poor sister has been feeling!!! She goes in today for her Chemo/ Radiation regimine in the lead upto the transplant!! Just when things are back on track, it feels like we're right back at the start!! (not that we could do that all over again!!) It was so sad getting her bag ready, just full of jammie's! Her only holiday this year, and its being spent...

    First chemo over
    Hi Just want to let you all know that I had my 1st dose of chemo at christies on Tuesday got there at 2 but didn't get chemo till 6.30pm, have left it a day or so before I'm sure but so far all is well no side effects yet to speak of, I felt very ill after it got in my system but after a second saline drip I was fit to leave, still on the steroids and the anti nausea but they don't run out till tonight so will keep you informed if things change . I have been told it can hit you a bit later on when...

    Long time no hear. I have looked at blogs quite a lot over the past few months but not added to many. I have been trying to deal with the side effects of chemo, or not as the case maybe now. Not that I am fortunate to be in 'remission' but chemo has been changed from carbotaxol to carbo to carbogem to nothing now because my blood count is non exsistant and my weight has increased dramatically over the past few weeks as has the size of my stomach.     hello everyone just to say my mum passed away on monday morning in hosptail my mum had a infection we sat by her bed for 8 days watching her . when my mum died i was there with her she died peaceful she would had her last chemo this week but never got better to recived it . our lives have turn upside down what will we do without mum .

    Well what can i say he has lost his fight. My dad passed away peacefully at 13.40 today after just over a year of fighting. Thank you for all your help and support. Im doing as expected trying to keep my promise i made him and staying strong its hard but helping if you know what i mean. claire xxx

    update
    today i visited the surgeon... i have to have my breast removed apparently i'm in the 2% bracket and extremely unlucky.. The dcis effects 2/3 of breast tissue. They have said i can have recontructive surgery the same day at charing cross.. On monday i will have my lypmnodes checked to see if it has spread. ty for thoses who replied to dcis blog
