A day in the life of a lump
Wow! It's been a day and a half!! Had my CT scan yesterday, pelvis, groin and chest. One of my better CT experiences, the technician knew what he was doing and managed to find a vein with ease (it's taken 20 minutes in the past). Today I went for the results, but first I had to walk the dog, shower, put some washing on, catch up on the ironing, do an emergency dash to the hospital to rescue the other half's dad's car from the potential clutches of a traffic warden, pack for our holiday tomorrow...

    OUCH!!!
Well I went to hossy for my monthly blood check, I was determined to find out what the results of my MRI scan is. The scan was in June and despite me asking in the July clinic at which I was told that they can take some time but my stand in doc would chase them and let me know. It got to August clinic and still no word, so I made my mouth go a little. This time it was my own specialist that said he would chase it and ring me. Ring me he did, but he said that rather than tell me over the phone he...

    side effects???
Hi there people, I know that I havent been here for a while, I have been busy trying to get my life back to the new normal that we have to get to after the diagnosis and treatment for cancer! I am on the ICON 7 trial for ovarian cancer, having avastin 3 weekly for a year. I have recently developed vertigo, along with a stonking headache and sore neck, and no one seems to know if these may be related to the avastin, I know it is also given for colon cancer, lung and breast cancers as well, so was...

    Travel Insurance
Hi Can anybody help or advise me regarding travel insurance? I am trying to sort out travel insurance for both myself and my 23 year old son. My son is going to Cancun in March for a stag week (insurance or not - but of course I rather he did have cover!). I am hoping to travel to New Zealand next year for a long tour. I keep coming up against brick walls by companies saying that they won't cover my son (even though he has been given the all clear for the past 15th months) and the same for me...

    Hello there, new here!
Hello all I have just joined and I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Joanna and I am 35 years of age, split up with a long term partner 7 months ago, along the way I met Anne (44 - the lady stood in front of me in my photo), since we have met (only February) we have become inseperable. In March her disabled son Stephen (19) died and I was with her all the way when this happened, and in an odd way it helped me get through my split with my partner, kept my mind on other things. Since her...
