First chemo over

1 minute read time.
Hi Just want to let you all know that I had my 1st dose of chemo at christies on Tuesday got there at 2 but didn't get chemo till 6.30pm, have left it a day or so before I'm sure but so far all is well no side effects yet to speak of, I felt very ill after it got in my system but after a second saline drip I was fit to leave, still on the steroids and the anti nausea but they don't run out till tonight so will keep you informed if things change . I have been told it can hit you a bit later on when it kicks in properly, have had no trouble sleeping am eating as normal so far so I hope this encourages a few who are still waiting to have their first one I had epirubicin. My face did look a little flushed this morning but not sure if that is a side effect or not. Went to get my wig yesterday from the selection at Christies it's a gorgeous glamorous long blonde wig I thought if I have to have one I'd get one that I'd always wanted. Love to all Tina xxx

Hi glad you are coping with your first chemo. I too ended up looking flushed in the face and chest a couple of days after treatment, the hospital said it can be either a reaction to the chemo or the steroids. I get it each time now, but passes with out problem. Good luck with the rest of your treatment.
