today i visited the surgeon... i have to have my breast removed apparently i'm in the 2% bracket and extremely unlucky.. The dcis effects 2/3 of breast tissue. They have said i can have recontructive surgery the same day at charing cross.. On monday i will have my lypmnodes checked to see if it has spread. ty for thoses who replied to dcis blog
I had a mastectomy of my left breast in April 08. Had lobular breast cancer but luckily only one breast affected. Lymph nodes had cancerous cells so had to have full anxillary clearance too.
Had chemo and radiotherapy and having reconstruction using back muscle later this year.
Will keep my fingers and toes crossed that your lymph nodes are clear.
