    Confused
My husband was lead to believe that he had pancreatic cancer, hospital said he had a mass there and it didn't look good. After a long wait, we finally saw the oncologist last week, almost two weeks now. He said the pancreas looks normal but there is something wrapped around it, lymph nodes are swollen which would cause the pain and fluid on the lungs. My husband has COPD and has gone through very rough experiences with pneumonia before, ventilator for three weeks one time. We ended up in emergency...

    Liz G becomes a Grandmother
May I be the first to congratulate my sister Liz G on the birth of her first grandchild. Corey, Braden, David Lagan made his entrance to the world tonight at 7.03pm, he weighed in a 7lb 6ozs and has a lovely head of blonde hair. i know the birth of any grandchild is special, but for Liz it was a little bit more than that. For those of you who have been reading her blogs and who have become mine and Liz's friends you will know that in March 2008 her prognosis was poor 3 - 4 months. Among other...

anyone from northampton area recently lost through cancer
i wonder if there is anyone that can help? My aunty lost her husband early this year to cancer. He was diagnosed and within a few months he sadly passed away. She has been with him since she was 16 and she is now 60! My aunty is now very alone and not coping at all.she wouldnt even know how to turn a computer on let alone use the internet which is a shame as i feel that this site would be ideal for her to talk to others in a simular situation and to feel that people understand what she is going...

Work load after lumpectomy grade 1
Hiyall, I am self-employed working from home on a computer, so nothing too physically straining. Luckily I have plenty of work plenty of work at the moment. These are mostly small research/writing assignments easy to move around, but I don't want to let my clients down. My grade 1 lumpectomy op is on 30 Sept. How long would you say before I can get out of the house and sit in a conference for the day? I know we are all different, but I would like to take it easy without losing too much business...

    Acid Reflux
Hi everyone, Has anyone had this nasty acid reflux? My mum finished radioterapy to her gullet just over a month ago and has a peg fitted. Recently she has started having this acid refulx and brining drinks and meds back etc. Her Dr said it's made worse due to having radio to the gullet and that it can go in spasms but there isn't anything you can do about it. Wondered if anyone had any advice, mum says it literally takes her breat away and I feel very helpless. Thanks Jen
