    Happy Monday!

    Hi all,

Hope everyone is feeling good on this lovely wintery Monday morning. I had a fab weekend with family and friends round Saturday night to watch fireworks and a little BBQ. I live right by the Abbey Gardens and they have a wonderful fireworks display which we get to watch for free in our own garden. So we lit the barbie and did sausages, burgers and baked potatoes to keep us all warm. Then did some marshmallow kebabs for the kids and yummy hot chocolate.  We ended up having a few drinks and...

    The saga goes on...

Yet another bad day in my household - what a surprise! Got to go pick up my 73yr old father this afternoon after he has had a basal cell carcinoma removed from his forehead. Now I have just received a call from my GP with the results of my spine xrays last week. Nothing was found on my spine, GOODY, however 2 swollen...

    Funny but great

Well what a funny treatment this time. I was sooooo ill more or less from the outset right up until saturday when I felt very tired and sick. I went to bed after X factor and had the best nights sleep I have had in ages. ( My boyfriend had gone home the day before he only stays if I am unwell) I awoke sunday morning to a beautiful sunny day. My friend (who is a widow too ) rang and suggested we ventured out for a walk and had sunday roast somewhere. So at 1-30 we set off and did a bit of a pub crawl...

    Things That Calm the Soul

It is sunny here today on the Boston harbor.  I can't see a cloud in the washed out kind of a blue sky that we have.  And little wind, and best of all, about 60 warm degrees.  And I still have roses on my front bushes (wild ones) that I don't know the names of.  But one is red and the other a very deep pink.  Very nice to look at while doing the dishes!

Honey is watching the football game and I am about to get offline and tend to my crafts for 'therapy'.  Very soothing to my soul.  I might...
