I should have bought shares in Andrex

I should have bought shares in Andrex!

Can quite believe how many times I am going to the loo a day.

Probably 8 times a day since the operation. I used to be a once a day man.

I hope this settles down soon as I am going back to work on 15th February

    Good news is for sharing...

Hi everyone...i had some great news yesterday...got my scan results and he said they were CLEAR...nothing detected on the scan. What a relief after all the dark thoughts i'd been having...he was still a bit cautious....he said he couldnt rule out the possibility of further treatment in the future..but...for now im clear...and that is what i wanted to hear...i have to alternate now between him and the gynae oncologist every 3 months.

Im going back to work at easter...i have to give my immune...

    1st Feb 2010 Bertiebassett

Someone thought it would be a good idea to stop Bert's tablets for agitation and aggression, bearing in mind it has taken the Mac nurse almost 2 months to get the dose right for him at and the fact that there is now CNS involvement. I did tell them that this was not a good idea but they new better than me. They were warned last night that he was getting very aggressive but did they listen to me !! No they didn't.

At 4.30 am he kicked off big style so much so that they had to call security...

    so called friends

sick of so called friends who seem to have dissapeared off the face of the earth since mum was diagnosed with lung cancer.  Not one has offered an ounce of help in any way so will just struggle on as usual.  It makes me very angry all this, have people forgotten how to use a telephone these days?  Best laugh is that we would do anything for anybody at any time, but will think twice in the future.

    Update - Good results

I havent been on for a while as everything has been ticking over nicely and apart from a downer a couple of weekends ago I have been feeling really good.  The cancer has been firmly at the back of my mind and life has felt vey normal.

I had my 3 monthly CT and MUGA scans last week and went for the results today.  The onc was very pleased to tell me the cancer is still very much under control and with the result of the MUGA being 59 (an improvement from last time!!) I can continue on with the Herceptin...

just something positive , would really help me right now ,

Last few days have not been easy but a little more settled or so i thought , hubby so tired since incident at garden centre havent even tried to go out,

Left him to sleep in this morning which only made him feel worse, we cant win no matter what we do, dizziness and sickness slightly improved with new meds, but nothing to write home about, we were so hoping for a little respite and a bit more quality of life but i think i was hoping for too much, spoke to our macmillan nurse today about maybe upping...

  • How to Help your Mum Survive Pancreatic Cancer or Not
    Poor mummy

I thought I would not write again until my mums first chemo session but when I sat down at my computer today I was compelled.

Since she had the 'small operation' on friday to put in the stent, she has been in such agony which i find horrifying to see. Yesterday she was ok most of the day but in the evening had a period of horrendous pain. ... apparently the doctors found the operation a little tricky and had to fiddle around a lot. With her lung biopsy and this operation she is finding it very difficult...

    wheres my hair gone

well it took three weeks but my hair finally fell out. It fell out in chunks in just over three days. not to worry shaved the rest off.  better to have no hair at all than the mess of losing it all. ha ive still got my dignity. As long as you look after yourself and fight all the way  you will never be a loser! bye
