I havent been on for a while as everything has been ticking over nicely and apart from a downer a couple of weekends ago I have been feeling really good. The cancer has been firmly at the back of my mind and life has felt vey normal.
I had my 3 monthly CT and MUGA scans last week and went for the results today. The onc was very pleased to tell me the cancer is still very much under control and with the result of the MUGA being 59 (an improvement from last time!!) I can continue on with the Herceptin for at least another 3 months. She did say the CT showed a patch/shadow on my lung but they felt it was simply an infection. I have had a bit of a cough this last week so she has given me a course of antibiotics to help clear it up. She definately didnt seem concerned but did say if I started to feel unwell, develop any new lumps or get breathless etc then I can go back to see her sooner. All in all very good results.
I am off to see my plastic surgeon tomorrow to see about finally getting my reconstruction. I am hoping that with these results and the fact I am very well, probably as well as I will ever be in fact, that she will see this as the perfect time to grant me the surgery I have been longing for for almost 3 years! We'll see though. I'm not getting my hopes up and have told myself this is the last time. I have been through so much disappointment that if it doesnt happen now I think I will have to draw a line through it or I may just go mad!!
So theres the update. Hope all you lovely people are feeling well and everything is going as well as can be hoped for for you all too .
