    One week to go

Well in 1 week I will be having my hysterectomy.

Mixed feelings about it all really. On one hand I just want it to hurry up, get it over and done with. One the other hand I just wish I could run away and not ave to go through with it. Will remove any hope of having a family. Am I ready to give that up?

Guess I have no choice so lets just get it over with so that we can try and find a way to start healing emotionally. I think thats the hardest part to all this. Sure I will be fixed physically in...

There's a Vibe ... and there is oxytocin

(In this episode, The Meddlesome will be partially unmasked!  Yes - you do care!)
I would recommend a soft, fluffy towelling dressing-gown to help you get in the mood for this, the most recent and bizarre twist in the tale.   Make yourself a mug of hot chocolate (organic) and put on your favourite, soothing music.
You thought you were going to get a break while Our Hero waited for the next meeting with the oncologist when they would rationally discuss the conventional ‘options.’...

    First radiotherapy

I don't know how I'll be in 6 weeks time, but today will be my third zap and for anyone who is worried... it's not as noisy as an MRI scanner and it's much quicker. You can hear the swirling noise of the beam, but you feel no heat or pain during the treatment.

    Best of luck 0: ) x

    Feb 11th 2010 Bertiebassett

Doesn't look like we will be getting home at all now. Bert has a Temp again, perhaps a chest infection as they say his chest sounds very crackly. He is passing so much blood. It is so heartbreaking to watch the man you love in such pain and be completely helpless, the most I can do is wet his lips for him and just be here. I am losing track of the days myself now.

He is hallucinating almost all the time, even when he does not need his morphine. at least he is a lot calmer than he was last week...
