Just got back from having the dressings changed. At the walk in clinic they use metapore to line and pack the wound then surgipads etc and a top layer of gauze and double tubigrip!

Hi eveyone
It's now been awhile since I had my radio and I feel great again. For the last 2 days I have completely gutted my back garden - and I mean gutted!!! There were loads of trees and Ivy everywhere and not enough grass or flowers, so it's all gone. Took 3 cars, 4 trips to the tip to get rid of the rubbish - that's how much has gone!!! I just feel like I have my mojo back again.
But.... My left hand is really swollen - I've had to take my wedding ring off and my watch and it looks awful....
Hi to all, if you've read my blog about how I was feeling well this is to update.
Last Thursday I had what was one of the worst in my life, I have spent the last couple wks gradually feeling more and more upset the tears were flowing for no reason and last Thursday I shouted at my darling husband which some may say so what but my friends we have been together for 19 yrs and we have never shouted in anger. I was devastated as was he so we worked back when these feelings began and guess what it...
since being diagnosed with cancer , and 2 further recurrences ( one of them current) i have experienced extreme anger , which is so not like me pre diagnosis. is this normal ? is it my fault? i hate myself. please helpme somebody, i'm distraught
Had my second FEC 100 (only one more to go then its the TAX!!!!!) yesterday.
Bless the nurses they were so short staffed, I was in the suite for 5 hours!!!!! Although its such a busy and friendly place wasn't a problem, plus I had my girlie friend with me keeping me supplied with drinks and chocolate!!!! Had a really lovely nan sitting in the chair next to me, 81 and having her first FEC bless her, she was funny tho because she deaf in one ear was shouting at the nurses and they were shouting...
has any one had SNB in their groin and it feel really lumpy at this stage after surgery?
i am due to see the consultant next friday but wonder if i should see someone before if i think it is lumpy? i am seeing the nurse tomorrow to ask her opinion but if anyone has had experience of this then please let me know
thanks
peter
ok start radio tuesday. not to worried. just want to get on with it. got a new tee shirt to wear when i go. black with a huge radiation warning symbol on the front. if that dont get a laugh nothing will. andy
Just back from the dressing clinic. Sluff removed from inside wound and repacked with alternative to keltostat which seems to be liked by some nurses and hated by others. Todays nurse suggested the graft was nearer 80% than 90% but its hard to tell as the wound just fills up with fluid all the time. Goind back tomorrow. Hopefully i will get the same nurse, the most impressive so far. Isnt it strange how different nurses have different opinions?
Pain level after appointment is 7/10 but i dosed up...
