Hi, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Feb after visiting my GP with a lump that turned out to be a benign cyst. The " surprise" one was hiding and picked up on a precautionary mammogram. I consider myself very lucky! My husband and I live abroad so we're trying to do all this in a foreign language. My care so far, though, has been fantastic. I had a lumpectomy in March and it's healed really well. I had my first of six chemo's on 7th April and the second is this Wed, 28th. I was disgustingly...
Hi
Tuesday will be the 4 week anniversary since my operation to remove the MM and have the SKIN GRAFT and the SNB
A 4 week relfection.
well so much for my consutation, after waiting another 4 months my consultant went off sick, ok he's got a stand in, who doesnt know my name and couldnt read my notes quick enough, so another wham bang thank you mam your 5 minutes are up,theres the door, see you in 4 months. which does not help the other people, prosthetics and dentistry, who are on the side line waiting to get started on me again, it doesnt help me being in limbo or trying to explain to the clowns in beurocracy or the people chasers...
I am looking after my dad he got diagnosed in nov 09 with bowel cancer, they removed the tumor but there were still cancer cells.....so he started chemo, then got told in march that the cancer had spread to his liver........he is kinda doing ok, had a blood transfusion yesterday because he is now anaemic, this made him feel better.
I am worried that i should be doing more or i am not asking the right questions or being assertive enough. My dad is divorced, so i have been going with him to appointments...
Hello to all, new bed is great and last week was so busy I was really glad to get into it.
CAB adviser helped with DLA form and I'm not thick by any means but was very happy she filled it in as I would'nt have ticked half of the boxes(didn't think they applied to me) but after she explained I could see what she meant, so now just have to wait and see.
McMillan pain nurse came on Thursday and she's changed my Zomorph for Oxycontin and Sevredol for Oxynorm. Not taking them yet as not...
I'm back home now and have just been to the hospital to see Dad taking him pressies and photo's, his treatment seems to be going okay he was on his last bag whilst i was there
He looks completely worn out and was very shaky but said he felt ok
