Well thats it my las rt yesterday! feel really ill today my chest and neck look as if someone has thrown a pan full of water at it!! feels like it too!!! but i am hopeful it will ease off in a few weeks !! they say the side effects will last for a few weeks too i am then to have a break before the pet scan to see what the chemo and rt has done !! i am off on a well deserved hliday july 9th for two weeks!! hop my hair has ngrown a bit by then !!! hope everyone is as weel as you can be xxxx
Last Saturday woke up feeling fine but within an hour had the horrible shakes and the odd feeling which i recognise has a high temperature trying frantically to fine my themonitor which i was told to always keep handy but after a frantic search could not find, phoning nhs help line have to say not much help, and feeling more and more poorly only having my youngest son here tried to phone my team at addenbrookes then i remembered the purple card with my ward number so phoned them and they said phone...
My dad has throat and lung cancer has started his chemo ,constantly spitting up saliva and having trouble eating pretty much anything hes been given these milkshake drinks but he even finds them to thick to drink even waterd down .He can still put up a good argument and when i mention he might need stay in hospital if he dosent start eating more he just dosent want to know ,i know its hard for him to eat but if he cant i think the hospital is the best place even if its just for a week so they can...
hi all, no results back from mri yet but they are keeping him in for the weekend, as he should be due to have chemo monday morning! but they might start radiotherapy instead, that will decided on monday, he was a happy boy yesterday as they let him leave the ward ! he said i need to get some l plates as my wheelchair steering is not brilliant...lol...but great fun were a right pair...i use a stick to walk but if im pushing him i can hold on to his chair, so next stop halfords for l plates..lol, so...

Hi this is my first time on site. I had a hysterectomy 3 wks ago and was diagnosed with appendix and ovarian cancer. Am still waiting 4 more tests 2 be done as been told it unusual and trying not 2 dwell on it 2 much until know more.easier said than done! Was expecting results 2 days ago then had call 2 say it would take another wk. I been struggling since op but cant have hormone treatment until know my results. All the wks of fear and worry came out and took it out on my boyfriend of 2 half yrs...
Hi, I am new to the site and have been reading through the posts and finding amazing supportive people. I was diagnosed with stage 3/4 ovarian cancer in 2007. I had extensive surgery and 7 cycles of carbo/taxol. This was followed by 14 months remission but then I relapsed and had another 6 cycles of the above. After 7 months in remission I relapsed again and am now on liposomal doxorubicin(Caelyx). I am feeling quite well at the moment but have a few questions and would value your comments.

Hi, I had yet another hospital appointment today,i went in very possative only to have my leg asspirated again,told i had an infection and put on antibiotics and anti-inflamatories,still smiling went to pharmacy to get prescirption filled,after what seemed like forever got tablets.still smiling and joking with mysister who had taken me,only to find we had forgot where we had parked!! and had 3/4 of an hour to get home,changed and get to a funeral.and guess what we made it dont no how but we did.so...
Hi everyone. I went to see my onc today to discuss radiotherapy. He told me that it would give me another 10% chance of the cancer not returning. He also told me that healthy bowel now filled the space he wanted to treat and that there was a 10% chance of damaging the healthy tissue perminantly.
This would mean a perminant stoma, just when I am about to have mine reversed.
By the look in the oncs eye's I think he was hoping that I would refuse and that is just what I did.
