I have to get this off my chest, hoping it will help me. I have been on here for some time now and have always felt positive. All through my treatment I have remained well and have amazed people with how I look and act. This past month I have found that I have plummeted into the depths of dispair and each morning I wake up I feel an overwhelming saddness envelope me.
Let me tell you my story and hopefully by writing it down I may feel better.
My nightmare began in April 2002 when my darling husband...

My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in February. She is writing her own diary of her experiences and so I thought I would do the same online. I have found that reading about others experiences helps take away some of the uncertainty surrounding what happens after diagnosis and on through treatment. I hope in reading my account of our experiences that it can help you in some way. It also helps me too. I find that writing it down helps me cope with it all as a partner.
Sal knows I am doing this...

Went to hospital with dad today, he was supposed to be having irrotican chemo. They needed to test his liver levels before they started because the liver function had been abnormal........
So we sat waiting for a few hours for the results to come back, then the nurse came over and said "im so sorry but your dads results have shot up so we are going to have to admit him" I freaked out, I didnt know why they wanted him in what to expect, then they explained that the disease has progressed...
hi all mri scan results back, not good but were thinking possitive, mri revealed cancer has gone to spine, so no chemo but gonna start radiotherapy asap, at least we know now the waiting is the worst, had to rely on hubby ringing me as im at home waiting for oxygen to be delivered so he can come home, so thought id blog and let u all know, have also hired a wheelchair for him from red cross, lucky its near to halfords il stop off and get my L plates....LOL......hope you all have a good day and gentle...
Cancer affects practically all of the population in many different ways, - frankly it scares me as it must do to many other people. So I congratulate all those on this site who are "spreading the word" to warn others of the need to check and take avoidance action.
So, well-doen opticalboy in your attempts to bring your experiences to the wider world
Hi
Just come home from plastic dressing clinic. Was a rushed appointment so the photos are not great... will take more at the weekend. However, everything is healing well and as to be expected at this time.
I have been asked by my MacMillan nuse if I would be interested in a trial of bevacizumab. Has anyone else had this? The side effects can be raised blood pressure which i have already so i am not sure if i want to go ahead with it.
Photos from today are below and are graphic.
Thanks
Pete...
