Hi, I am Julie, my Mum used to call me Loulabell when I was little. My Mum has advanced lung cancer, we have known since the end of March and life has changed irrevocably since her diagnosis. I was moved to join you tonight as my visit with her this evening broke my heart and I don't know how to help her. She was so very low and has been so strong till now. She feels she has no control over her life and emotions, she had chemo last week and was on a high for a few days and now she has sunk like a...
My Mother has been in Broomfield hospital Chelmsford for a month now and during this time I have had to repeatedly complaint to the point I am now friends with the cheif exec's assist lol. I have had to complain about the care levels the treatment, why they dont explain anything to us and think they can just do it. Why they seem to think that they can just do anything they want and not be accountable? Why there are never enough nurses, why they leave my Mother in a bed filled with poo and wee...

Following their medical meeting, it has been decided that my tumour is too big to operate on at the mo, so i am to start chemotherapy (doxorubicin) on Friday 25th, next week. Wow, now that news has really put me in a different frame of mind. So many questions to ask, i keep logging in here to find my answers, which to a great extent i have found. I really thought i would have had surgery, then some further...

I think he prefers to be at home at night , he really couldn't wait to be away from the hospital today.
They also reduced his chemo by...

Sal and I went to the hospital this morning for her normal review of progress so I thought I would bring you all up to date.
