    RIP Joan

A dear friend of mine lost her 5 year battle last night with Lung Cancer.

Joan showed great courage throughout her ordeal. Giving me inspiration whilst I was ill. Joan will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

     RIP Joan. Love Julie X

    Why cant i speak

Why when someone asks how are you cant i answer honestly....

I am stuck at home every day and night on my own, usually crying. I really dont know what to do. Im stuck.

Im so dissapointed in life i cant even explain it right. WHY. WHY my little girl she was only 4 and had her whole life ahead of her. When i was with her at the end watching her suffering was the worst pain i have ever felt. I would have done anything to take that pain away or even swap places with her.

    Now shes gone there seems...

  • Rather unsure...
    Hello..

So I am not even sure if it is appropriate that I am on this website - my Mum has got cancer, but it's not like I am on my own (there are the other family members/ family friends etc) or she is in immediate danger. I am just incredibly lonely and scared -  talking about anything with them evidently isn't helping them "deal" with things and I don't want to make things harder for any of them but since it all began last summer I feel like I am slowly sinking and this has got worse now I have moved...

    Does it get easier?

Not been on for a while, dont even know what to say just now? Its been 2months and 2 days since my gorgeous sister passed away, and if anything i think i'm feeling worse as the days go on!!

Was at a psychic night on friday, and i was just so upset to think that this is the only possible way i could hope to communicate with my sister from now on!

When does the guilt subside? I feel guilty all the time about everything, is this normal? Guilty that i'm still here, guilty if i cry, guilty if...

    Aaaaarrghhhhh!!

Im sorry, I need a rant....who are we supposed to rant at??? I feel like screaming and I can't. I was diagnosed with renal Cell Carcinoma last week and most of the time I am fine. It was, like, you have kidney cancer now go home and deal with it until we call you in again. I know nothing apart from that. I have been strong for family and friends as I am known as the big brave strong one for everyone. My best friend was on holiday when I was having the tests and diagnosed. I was on my own the whole...

    Can you believe it......

Can you believe it............i'm actually in London, and start my treatment tomorrow!!

I'm staying in a hotel tonight, and have to be at the Royal Free Hospital in the morning!! They will then take me down to Nuclear Medicines for the treatment, and I will then begin my 1 week in isolation!!!!

It all happened so fast, I only got the phonecall on Thursday evening, and the doctors secretary said "You know when you come in for your treatment on Monday?"

    And I said "THIS Monday...

    One of those days
Hello to all on this beautiful sunny morning.

Yesterday was one of those days, well one of a few really, but yesterday topped them all. Nothing very dramatic really, it just seemed it yesterday.

Last week we bought a gas bbq, not a big all singing all dancing one, just a small one big enough for the 3 of us. Nothing could be easier to set up, hubby did all no problem. So far so good until we came to buy the gas yesterday to use it. Instructions in very bold writing use Propane gas only NOT PATIO...

    Operation Over

I'm back home after the operation and recovering OK.  4 and bit hours in theatre and a 2kg tumor has left me somewhat sore.  Can only just cope with sitting in front of the computer.

Just wish I could actually sleep more than an hour at a time and not be overtaken by a 120 year old granny with a zimmer frame.
