Hello to every one, I'm not sure what is going on with me, but I feel that I'm not much use to any one on the site. I've tried to help anyone I can with comments which I thought would be of help but I'm not sure I have.
I am having a lot of emotional times, when thinking , talking about my cancer and answering questions from other people about prognosis etc. I don't know it's never been spoken of when I see my oncologist. He says we'll deal with each spot as we need to....
Starting to feel like a yoyo. Up one minute then crashing back down. My emotions are in a turmoil.
Mum health and state of mind is declining but we're still unsure just how long she has got left. Last week she had a heart attack. Went into Taunton Hospital where they put in 3 stents to keep her valvues open. She's now back home and feeling quite good but very weak, and another ton of tablets to take. She still expects me to be able to run back and forth looking after her and its getting...
It has been over a year since my hubby's diagnosis of bile duct cancer and we were told he had 6 - 9 months. Surgery and radiation were not possible because of the location of the tumour and they could only offer chemotherapy to prolong his life.
Before each appointment with his doctor to discuss the latest scan or blood test. We are both so on edge and nervous. My husband says it is like waiting for the hammer to fall. Each scan, each blood test could be the one that says it has spread. I can...

...Should have been getting the results of my biopsy yesterday but they phoned on Thursday to say that the weren't ready so I now have to wait till next Friday.
To say I am p****d off is putting it mildly still as there isn't anything I can do about it I will just have to wait and try not to let it affect my blood pressure!!

Well, I'm back home to do the washing and ironing, reapcking ready for going through the Channel tunnel tomorrow. We've had a week away, despite the chest infection, even if I did spend 3 days sitting in the motorhome out of the wind! It was lovely seeing all the MHF friends, including Locovan, who was the life and soul of the gathering as usual! we went on from the rally to the Great Dorset Steam fair. I must admit I was a bit worried that I wouldn't cope with all the walking, but the sun...
Four days have passed and it doesn't doesn't feel real that my dad is no longer here. The tears have flowed (alot), but in the back of my mind I still can't quite grasp that he's gone. This feels a strange emotion considering I sat in the hospice room with dad a few minutes after he passed. I didn't want to leave him, because it felt like I'd be leaving him forever. The hospice staff were brilliant, the support they gave to my mum and I was perfect - caring, compassionate, thoughtful...
Well....I done it now.....I have ask to be in the Avast-m study.......will have more scans, bloods, urine....and all things horrid. Not sure which I will be given, the drug or not (that is the question).
So will try to let all and sundry know what happens next.....
