hi to all that know me- and those that dont- dont lose heart!

If anyone has got a copy of januarys ed of prima magazine, thats me in the rubbishly titled 'my best friend saved my life'! The essence is true, but I feel a bit cheated as I specifically wanted it to focus on the symptoms of ovarian cancer.

I cant complain, I am nearly (1 month away) in 'remmision' or whatever that means, after being told I have advanced cancer. isnt it funny, you nearly reach one target then they give you another...

    cystcestomy query

Has any lady had there bladder removed. I am seeing a specialist next week about surgery and was wondering what is the easiest, bag, neo bladder or theres another one but I cant think what it is at this moment. I am scared but would like to know what it involves from someone who has been through this. I know the specialist will explain but I thought it would be better coming from someone with first hand experience.

    Introduction

    Hello.

I am new to the site.  I am unnoficially caring for my partner of 6 years who has been recently diagnosed with terminal ovarian cancer. She is 52, I am 26.

It all started a few months back when she bled from her vagina, after having been through the memopause. A smear test showed a raised level of....whatever the marker is called that indicates that you have cancer. We went for a few internal cameras. They still weren't happy. We then went for an MRI with contrast. Still not happy. We then...

    Christmas wish came true!

I walked into Oncologists room & before I had even sat down he said "Great scan", the relief was so intense, I told him I was going to kiss him if it was good so he told me to anyway.

I really feel overwhelmed, I know its incurable but if everytime it comes back I can kick its ass then thats what I'll strive to do.

Back in June I brought my wedding forward as didnt know what future held, had surgery again & then RFA on remaining kidney  & all were successful with no signs of...

    Just had to write something

3 years today my wondeful son was cruelly taken so I just had to write something.  I see Lee everyday in one way or another so you are never out of my mind.  I see your wife and kids every week and spoil them best I can and remind your kids of your strength and bravery.  You made us all so proud the way you conducted yourself throughout your pain trying to ease ours.  We all miss you and know wherever you are is a better place for having you.  I love you son.
