    Well i havent wrote anything on here for quite some time, but we are now 12 months on from Derek's op (Total Gastrectomy) and he is doing so so well, he looks amazing just a lot slimmer 5 and half stones slimmer to be exact, anyway he had his 1st CT Scan since diagnosis 2 weeks ago and we went on Wednesday for the results and got great news, there is no sign of anything abnormal on the scan and he doesnt have to go back…

    Hi all

    Well it was 12 months yesterday that Derek was diagnosed, i cant believe that the year has gone so quick, now after the chemo, Total gastrectomy then more chemo he is doing fantastically well, he looks amazing even though he doesnt think so, he says he is to skinny and when he looks in the mirror all he sees are bones sticking out everywhere but i love him just the way he is.

    Hi Everyone

    Just a quick update on Derek's Progress, he had his total Gastrectomy on May 24th, after a long hard road he is now looking fantastic,  he is feeling good, and he is eating vitually anything and the portion sizes are a good size, certainly not tiny portions like he was having just after his op.

    He had 3 months chemo before the op and started chemo after op but has had to stop as it was affecting his heart…

  • Recovery after Stomach removal and aprt of the gullet

    Hi Everyone.

    Its now nearly 10 weeks since hubby had his stomach and quarter of the gullet removed, its been a hard recovery but we have got there, he is doing brilliantly, today we went to see Oncologist and he is really pleased with how everything has gone, he is confident they have got it all out.

    We felt really good when we came out of the hospital and felt positive for the 1st time in months, its so nice to start…
