Went in to see the Prof this afternoon and here's the result. Not good news, but I feel SO much better now that the waiting is over.
Tis malignant, got to go to see them for further tests friday and into hospital next week., It's 2.5 cms, grade 2 stage 3 and they want to do more aspirations & an MRI and bloodtests friday as the lobes under my arm are still suspicious and they had a false negatice (apparently this can happen three times until they take one out anyway. They have to check whether...
Rainy, windy Monday morning, blowing a gale up here on the mountain - almost jumped out of my skin when I heard the phone ring last evening, thought it might be the hospital, but.........hey it was Sunday evening...just proves how much this lady in waiting is n e r v o u s !
I'll do today, what I always do when I'm cross or upset or nervous and that is; clean things! Got my brown paper bag at the ready to stop panic attacks :-) and going to get dressed in a moment and begin chasing spiders around...
A little apprehensive this afternoon as Monday draws near - knowing in my heart that my game plan will not really be acceptable to the hospital - but there has to be compromise - I won't be bullied.
First I want to see if there are any Mets (Metastasis) because of the cysts or whatever they are in my liver and kidneys and a growing discomfort with something in my neck etc... - BUT of course, this could all turn out to be stress - so then, we will leave it up to the docs - but I will not be...
Not exactly euphoric, but almost a sense of relief that the call from the hospital can't come - it's the weekend, so NO waiting around and jumping each time the phone goes off - a kind of restless quiet - can you understand that?

The past few years have been an emotional roller-coaster and now it seems I'm on a downwards health spiral - BUT - hoping to start back up again as soon as I can.
I found my little 'son' over ten years back in India when I went to India as a volunteer for a registered charity/sending agency and it was only two years back that we managed to get a passport for him. Hi everyone,
Just wanted to drop a line as I haven't had much time to be on the site recently due to a busy domestic life!
I'm coming up to the 2 year anniversary of when the melanoma returned in my lymph nodes (13 years after the primary mole was removed) & I'm very happy to say that I am still feeling fit & healthy & my consultant is very happy with my rude health! I just wanted newly diagnosed members on the site to be aware that, in the words of my consultant "A diagnosis of the spread...
I have created this blog to track our journey. My husband has just been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. We were advised on Monday that he is stage 3B based on scans taken and we await the results of the bone marrow biopsy.
I wanted to track our journey. I wasn't aware of the Macmillan online community when my Mum and Dad lost their battles with cancer, and this site has been so helpful to me and my husband in the last couple of months that I wanted to try to capture our journey in the hopes...
