One Year On...Goodbye BooHooHoo...Hello Ho Ho Ho!!
This time last year I had just been diagnosed with breast cancer (2nd time around) and was walking round Sainsbury's like a zombie trying to work out how many brussel sprouts per person for lunch the next day... What a difference a year makes......2008 is now officially my annus horribilis (see that's not exclusive to HRH)...but it's nearly over......and in between mastectomy/chemo/side effects/radiation et al.......look at all the friends and support this wonderful side has given me. And just...

Merry Xmas all the best for 2009
Thankyou to you all, after my recent diagnosis I thought i was alone but just by reading the blogs i know i'm not. 2nd chemo yesterday canula went in ok but after a few minutes started to feel hot & faint, stood up legs buckled - nurse said i did do it gracefully! Next wk their going to give me a calming drug as Dr thinks it could be anxiety & here's me thinking i was ok. Went to see a natural healer yesterday her name is Ruth who is based at the hosp and has been a fully reg. healer for 30 years...

    Thought I'd start my blog
I have been reading other people's entries and realised that maybe I should start my own. It's not about me but my Mother-in-law - just diagnoised. The appt on Monday 22nd didn't really go well , found out that her only hope is Chemo. I think deep down I knew this as I work in a hospital and the cons were I work has been really helpful, arranging CT, Bone scans and inserting chest drains. My Hubby is holding up well, he broke down yesterday when he told me that she was upset as she wouldn't see our...

Not just whispy mind you but they look like an italian footballers legs lol. The hair there was the last to go after chemo (head being first) and first to sprout back with avengence and dark dark brown to boot. Now i can enjoy the girlie things again like shaving them and feeling normal. The hair on the unmentionables is coming back too also dark dark and growing well beyond...

Time for celebration, and a new year
I would like to wish all my Buddies, and all those who I have had the great fortune to meet these past few months, a wonderful time over this holiday period. It has dawned on me as we reach the closing of this year - achieving almost a year of remission - how lucky I am, and all of us are, who have this time to celebrate our lives with our family and friends, and especially our children. Time with my daughter is a celebration of itself, no matter what the new year brings or how many more Christmases...
