Good luck tomorrow Avie!  Truly.  I hope you get some good news and are relieved to at least know what you may be facing.  There is a certain relief in that part at least.  Whatever it is, you will do your best to face it.  Hang in, be brave, and do let us know.  Best, Lori

May I wish you all the very best meeting your oncologist.  I hope that what you hear is the best possible scenario.  Sitting in the waiting-room can be daunting - the stress everyone is feeling is almost tangible.  I hope that you have someone who can go with you (looks like it from your pic!).

If you find that the doctor has whizzed through it all and you think that you may not have understood everything (it's hard unless you have prior experience - or a medical degree), please make sure to ask to see a Cancer MacMillan nurse.  The hospital I attended did not make this a standard policy, and I was not aware of their existence until I met up with a patient under a different consultant.

Sending you hugs, and wishing you all the very very best of luck.  xxxxx |Penny

    Hello Avie

Just wanted to send you love and best wishes for your appointment - the first time you do anything is pretty scary, but I'm sure you will feel better once you have met your oncologist and have a better idea of what happens next.  Please let us know how you get on.

    Love and hugs, Kate xxxx

Well, the oncology appointment went ok.  They're going to give me FEC-T chemo then a year of Herceptin.  Feeling a bit more relieved now that i've met my oncologist.  Treatment may be starting in the next week or so, so "bring it on".  Sooner it starts, sooner it's finished.

Thanks so much for your replys and good wishes,

    Avie
