Today we are in the final week of a 5 week course of dexamethasone, which has helped with pain relief energy levels and poor appetite. But, her muscles are suffering, have to help her in and out of bath. May seriously need to look into walk in shower.

Hi everyone, confused and desperate, my husband has a really enlarged thyroid, front and sides, which seems to be growing every day. He is 53. And apart from stable prostate cancer, he is healthy. The gp 5 days ago ordered urgent blood tests which all came back normal. No thyroid problems, no virus or infection, no evidence of any metabolism issues, which leaves cancer. I am 43 yrs old and female. I have been diagnosed with early squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the anal canal i started treatment on the 22nd May 2017 and I want to share the daily experiance I go through to help answer some questions. I am also taking part in a

Having been denied a blood test for 10 days due to Barts (Whipps Cross) poor IT security resulting in their meltdown, i have now had to cancell my consultant visit, after all, they cant talk to me about my 'progress' if there are no statistics to talk about!
The inability of anyone to pull thier finger out and find non tech solutions (oh the good old days of pen and paper) has been incredibly frustrating!

This weekend has been full of ups and downs really.
I was invited out to the theatre with friends on Friday, but unfortunately had to cancel as there was no way my spasming body could sit in a theatre seat for 3 ish hours. Yup, spasms are new. lol. They were bad on Friday, with it feeling like someone had plugged my back into the mains for a few seconds, which even made me cry out with the shock and pain.
