Well, we've raised the money for me to have treatment in London. Paid the deposit (£10,500), had the tests, now just waiting for test results from the bone marrow biopsy.
MUGA heart scan results were fine.
PET scan results.....not sure if it's good or bad news.........good news is that it's all still above my diaphragm.
Bad news is its pretty much everywhere above it - now spread to my left side :(

Well thats the first fathers day without my dad and it was so hard. My brothers didnt even mention him they where acting as if he didnt even exist and that has upset me alot. How can they do that he was the most important man in our life and they dont care. I went and sat in my mums room where my dad ashes are and spent a bit of time talking to him i just wish he could have gave a hug and told me that he loves me and hes proud of me. I miss him so much and it doesnt seem to get any easier . I feel...
Was relieved to get the call today (Monday) inviting me to meet the consultant tomorrow afternoon. I had hoped for the call on Friday, so was glad that they rang before lunch so I didn't have to chase.
I'm not really sure what to expect but I'll be armed with questions about exactly what has been found (stage, size and location of tumour), radiotherapy - including when it might start and likely side effects*, what is likely in terms of surgery.
Apart from that it is business as usual...
God I dont know where to start, has never been cancer in the family and then suddenly 2 members in 2 weeks on bowel and one jawbone both requiring operations and chemo/RT. 4 weeks into this nightmare and I keep thinking oh my god do I have cancer breast, bowel, mouth, I brushed my teeth so much I made them bleed, I look up the least little thing on google and read stuff into it. Has anyone else experienced these feelings.
Trying to keep going today. It is so hard to get through the day, I make sure I am kept busy. Thank you all for your replies. Wish you all Strength to get through this episode of your life.
Well today was the day - last session (until the next recurrence), and as usual arrived at the normal time (9.15am) drugs arrived at 10.45am, and between changing over bags I 'bleeped' for at least 20 minutes each time, so left the hospital at 5.30pm from a 5 hour treatment. Solitary room and an upright chair did not help matters at all, but the staff shortages are ridiculous now. Hopefully by the time I have to go back the new staff will be experienced and be able to get the drip in first...
