Was relieved to get the call today (Monday) inviting me to meet the consultant tomorrow afternoon. I had hoped for the call on Friday, so was glad that they rang before lunch so I didn't have to chase.
I'm not really sure what to expect but I'll be armed with questions about exactly what has been found (stage, size and location of tumour), radiotherapy - including when it might start and likely side effects*, what is likely in terms of surgery.
Apart from that it is business as usual: family trip to Country Farm Park with picnic at the weekend (S very cute peddling her tricycle trying to keep ahead of her sister); girls and B recovering from colds - fortunately for me I've not been too much affected, but it's been miserable for them; enjoying fresh peas and strawberries from the allotment. Yum!
* thanks to everyone who has shared information on the group forum. I have appreciated reading a number of posts containing experience of radiotherapy and surgery, particularly a thread started - I think - by NJC.
