Hi everyone, I’m looking for advice as my aunt has been diagnosed today with multiple myeloma. She is 90 so the doctor said she will be home treated with a nurse coming to administer morphine. Should we be looking into Macmillan support as not sure what’s best as I hear amazing things about Macmillan. Any advice greatly welcome x
Hi and welcome to the community. Really nice that you are here to support your aunt. For help from a Mac nurse, your aunt would need to be referred by her GP. I would really recommend you call the free Mac helpline on 0808 808 0000 ( open till 8pm daily). You will find them very friendly and will be able to advise on all the help your aunt may be entitled to, practical and financial. I hope all goes well. Best wishes.
