Hi there,

In January this year after 47yrs cancer free it returned for my beautiful mum... Triple negative breasr mastised to lymph and liver and ovarian... After an op to remove ovaries we embarked on 6 months of chemo and immunotherapy. After 6 cycles the cancer seemed to have shrunk and was not spreading... Phew we have more time to enjoy this brave wonderful woman I an honoured to call mum..... Last Saturday she developed a pain in her thigh which steadily got worse... Blood tests show clear but xray shows something small that was there in Feb... Waiting for scan appointment to see if spread to bones. I have never seen my mum in so much pain. In a week she can't walk on it and has to sleep sat upright in a chair... I'm terrified... I'm caring for my mum and dad as mum is dad's carer. I need to take time off work and it may have to be unpaid what can I claim or is there financial help for me..... X

So sorry to hear about your mum and the awful situation you're in. Contact your local Macmillan at your local hospital usually and they can advise on benefits and fill in forms for you. You can get a carer's allowance. Also social  services who can help supply things your mum needs to help her in everyday situations. Citizens advice bureau can also be helpful in advising what is out there to help you. Local cancer support groups and charities can also advise and get things your mum needs. You don't have to attend a group to ask for their help.

I hope you get the support you need soon.

    Hugs Babs Hearts️
