Hi all,
Not visited the community for some time,. Some of you may know I lost my dad in March, had his funeral in April amid all this coronavirus pandemic which I am sure you can imagine was not nice.
Just wondering if anyone might now if there would be a counseling service I could get in touch with for myself, pretty sure others in my family would not want to do it, but I think it would benefit me.
Thanks
Hi
I have not used a bereavement counselling service but you can get support with your grief.
Your local hospice or hospital may run a bereavement support group and you can speak to your GP about how you're feeling and they may suggest some extra support for you. This could be in the form of referring you to a support group, or to a bereavement counsellor, psychologist, or psychotherapist and/or prescribing medication to help with the way you are feeling.
You could also put your postcode into 'In Your Area' to see what services are available near to where you live.
