Hi I'm new here. I have been finding things hard for a while now. My nan had cancer first about 2 or 3 years ago the doctor was able to treat it and it went away then my grandad was diagnosed about a year later he fought it for 2 years with treatment until he passed away in September 2024. Around May last year my nan was diagnosed with cancer again in a different place this time the doctor couldn't operate and my nan chose not to have treatment the last two months of her life were horrible she was in hospital for a month then spent several weeks in a care home before she passed away in November.
Hi Poodlepalace
Welcome to our community, I hope you find it both informative and supportive.
Sorry to hear about your grandparents especially quite close together. While there is no right way to grieve it can be helpful to have some strategies that help us move forward. You might like to look at our pages on coping with bereavment - I particularly like the thing about the grief staying the same but allowing us to grow around it.
<<hugs>>
