I'm thinking just tell me!!!!!!

Dealing with other people’s reactions was for me one of the hardest things with the breast cancer diagnosis. Being self-employed, I did not have to tell colleagues, and was fortunate to have more control over who knew when. My husband and I took the opportunity of a 10hour train journey the day after the diagnosis to begin to think about how we would manage the local gossips (amongst other things). The diagnosis was a shock. We needed time to get used to the news ourselves and if there was...
In writing this blog, I am not attempting a diary or chronological record, but to record some of my feelings and thoughts as I fathom my way through this new chapter of my life. I am grateful to Macmillan for providing a safe platform where this is possible.

Hello dear readers,
Been a while since I updated the blog. I haven't forgotten about it, just life gets in the way.
We have had a jam packed six week school holiday this year. Last year was a write off due to me receiving my treatment and next year is not promised so I booked three different getaways this year.
We took the kids away in our caravan to Scotland for a few days then went for a trip of a lifetime (well for us anyway) on a narrowboat through Yorkshire. We had always planned to retire...
So now I have been given the awful news I am thinking about what is to come .
I know I need to take each day at a time and just stand and wait in the queue looking at the scenery for the moment instead of thinking about the ride that is to come .
Incise you don't understand the rollercoaster part , i am a very visual thinking person and this is kind of how i imagine the start of my journey .
I will hopefully update my blog as much as possible to remind myself of things and hopeful bring me comfort...
