  • Dad's Journey!
    Dad's Journey!

Well it's now the middle of September and Dad is feeling good. He seems to have found some new vigor from somewhere! He's back to walking around the park like he used to before the diagnosis. He's also managed some light shopping on his own which is helping his self esteem.

His weekly visits to the day centre have given him a new interest to talk about although he seems to moan about having to wait to be dropped off home at the end of the day. I do ask him what he needs to rush home...

My Amazing Dad passed away this time last week....

My Amazing Dad passed away at 6.15pm on Tuesday 17 September. He was at home surrounded by his family...just as he wanted. This blog post may be upsetting to some so I apologise if it is but I need to get everything from the last week or so written down.

We knew on Wednesday 11 September that things were not looking good. Strangely I had decided to not go to work that day...I felt like i HAD to be with Dad. I blogged about what happened that day in my previous post. One thing I did forget...was...

    Denial and Pancreatic Cancer

I keep looking at this site and have finally plucked up the courage to ask for some advice. My dad was diagnosed with final stage pancreatic cancer at the beginning of Aug and has been given a timescale from between 8 - 12 weeks. He has lived in Spain for the last 26 years. My mum passed away from liver disease only a year and a half ago and I know we have all struggled to come to terms with that before receiving this other horrible blow. My dad now lives in Spain on his own so between myself and...

    After over 12 hours - 23:30

    i feel great

trying to doze off. my tummy hurts a bit,

i have taken ginger in tea and dry ginger helps the tummy to calm down a bit

didnt eat heavy, drank plenty of water.

had tablets pomegranate extraxt, curcuma extract, and bio-25 probiotics

i think my good feeling right now are due to high moral and the intake of foods and meds.

i have a bad taste in my mouth during the day,  but it is tolerable.

Took the first tablet called Emend. 10:00 Plugged into the first bag, and then the treatment itself, and last but not least the third bag that had i.v meds instead of me taking tablets (Setron , Dexamethazon) Setron has got steroids. All tablets are for the sickness. By 1130 I was out of there. My mom...
