Round 4 came and went between Christmas and New Year - relatively easy and then we enjoyed New year and the following week of holiday.
Then at the weekend before school starts my body decided to crumble. An enormous ulcer on the side of my tongue gave me an instant sppech impediment and then a painful lump appeared on the back of my left hand disabling my ability to write!
A nice young Indiandoctor in A&E xrayed it and told me it was a ganglion which was ironic for an RE teacher as tradition has...
Well, nothing to do with my C but the last two days have been horrendous.
My lovely 12 year old whippet collie fell ill on Thursday, vets on Friday for barium xrays, another xray this morning to be told she had a tumour in her bowels.
The prognosis for recovery after an op was not good so we sadly had to make the hardest decision to stop her suffering.
So far this year of 2012 and been the worst ever - first my diagnosis and now losing my lovely Bubble.
I really cannot stop crying, she was always...

Legal position with respect to partial seizures. These do not present a danger to others and I will work in non-hazardous environment but do require about 24 hours before I'm over it. Has anybody had anything similar and made proposals around sick day/ holiday trading?
All bloody day...it was shouting and in a really bad mood..........
and everyone was round as well...macmillan nurse...district nurse.....shopping delivery....mum and dad.......uncle Tom cobbly and all.............!!
My lads came and sat with me last night with a brew....for the first time in months I asked them to leave me sat alone for a bit.....i really didn't want to say stuff i didn't mean....cos it was all there in my head....nasty comments.......
half an hour later, I was feeling...
The day before yesterday, the oncologist told us the biopsy on the "suspicious" spot in M's hip shows cancer cells from his primary bowel tumour. The curse of being a nurse is that she doesn't have to say any more. I know immediately: I'm going to lose him.
I've lived with this fear for over a year. I knew it was coming - have done since I realised that damned doctors had missed the diagnosis for at least three years, and that by then he was too unwell for chemo..
But...
I don't know where to start this blog really or even why i've joined this community. We lost our darling granddaughter on Christmas morning and it all still seems so surreal. I know she's gone but somtimes I can't comprehend that we will never see her again. She was only 11 - so much potentiial....................
What is wrong with some people? How can some get things so terribly wrong? With all the shit I've been through, I still find people who, even though I've turned my back on them (LONG AGO), think that I have any feelings at all for them other than deep deep hatred? Reviled, loathed and close to wishing they were dead. Certainly wishing they'd been diagnosed with Cancer and not me. Yes, it's a terrible thing to think or wish on someone... but to me you're not even human.
If you...
Hi There!
I've never been a great talker. If something is on my mind I can sit for hours telling you what's wrong in my head when you ask, but I can't find the words to verbalise it. I find it easier to write things down, my mum jokes it would be easier to get answers out of me if she just text me even when she's sat in the room with me. I find writing things down easier to do, I can think about what I want to say, I don't miss anything out. I joined this community last week...
