    Well, finally had my LD flap MX last Tuesday (14th) which all went very well apart from I did not have the morphine drip so was in a lot of pain. They eventually got an anaesthetist to come up and see me who prescribed regular morphine by mouth for 48 hours in addition to tramadol and co-codamol.

    Had my first drain out on the Wednesday which did not hurt at all (probably because of the morphine) but the other 2 drains…

    Had my lymph node biopsy last Friday and unfortunately one of the stitches burst and ended up with a bit of an infection in the wound. My breast is so swollen and painful I think I will honestly be glad when it is gone (hubby took a photo of it this morning so we can do a before and after picture) LOL

    Went to see my consultant and he does not think there will be any problem going ahead with the masectomy on Tuesday,…

    Finally the merry go round is slowing down. Saw my consultant this morning to discuss options following the failed biopsy last week when they couldn't take samples from the calcium deposits.

    Option 1 - lumpectomy plus removal of the affected calcium area (then waiting for results on whether that was cancerous too - more stress while waiting plus radiotherapy treatment (I don't deal with stress and waiting very well…

    Well, nothing to do with my C but the last two days have been horrendous.

    My lovely 12 year old whippet collie fell ill on Thursday, vets on Friday for barium xrays, another xray this morning to be told she had a tumour in her bowels.

    The prognosis for recovery after an op was not good so we sadly had to make the hardest decision to stop her suffering.

    So far this year of 2012 and been the worst ever - first my diagnosis…

    What a horrible and stressful morning......

    Went to hospital to have the prone stereo(whatsit) mammogram and biopsy only to be told "sorry you are at the wrong hospital" despite the fact I had been told I had to go to Crawley as the East Surrey did not do prone mammogram blah blah blah.

    Apparently, yes Crawley does have the prone mammogram equipment but it is still under testing so they are not taking patients…
