    Hi Donna,

When Mum started on her journey and we needed information, etc, I rang the Mac HelpLine on here, tel no: call free on 0808 808 00 00, Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm.  My Mum had chemo too, I know its different for everyone, my Mum sailed through, was one of the lucky ones and I hope your Nan does too.

I also found this site invaluable, reading through the leaflets etc, online and printed some off - this is one of the best sites, if not the best site on the net for support, information about cancer.  You are in the right place.

Hope you manage to find some of those answers your Nan is looking for.

    Nic x

She should be allowed some help. She might have to pay if she has the funds otherwise not.Her Mother's GP should be able to point her in the right direction such as a nurse to help wash and dress her and someone to clean.

Hi on the bright side my Son had bladder cancer 2 years ago and he was given 3 to6 months to live it was stage 3 at the time, he had chemo and then an operation to remove bladder, they actually made a new bladdder out of his small colon for him but his attitude was mind over matter and positive. So he was very lucky and he is now fine so please try not to worry as the men in white coats do know what there doing.Re the chemo he had yes he lost all body hair and was sick once but other than that he was fine, My son had 8 weeks of chemo. There is a god up there so try not to worry to much.

    Good luck to your Nan
